Last night, I managed to finish my Floribunda cami. Actually, I was determined to finish my cami. Making this top was no piece of cake. The construction wasn’t hard, it just required a muslin for all those fit issues. Since I skipped this process (I will not do this again when I make a Hot Pattern), I wound up with a tension headache at one point.

Floribunda Cami
I had very good intentions in getting the That’s So Raven Coordinate started today, but after cutting out the vest – which had 11 pieces – my heart just wasn’t in it. So, this weekend, while Taylor was doing one of two book reports, I cut out the fabric for the Floribunda Cami.

I love Hot Patterns. If I could afford it, I would snatch up more of their patterns! They fit great, look stylish, but also require ‘tweeking’ (although, what pattern doesn’t) for that perfect fit. I find that I spend more time with these patterns because I like them more and want them to work for me – more so than the ‘Big 4’. I’m contemplating sewing up the Floribunda Top next, but I’m not sure that I want to spend the time making a muslin and working with slippery fabric next. Maybe something easier is in order? Maybe some nice buttermilk or onionskin from Emma One Sock instead? I’ll have to mull this one over.
