Easy Cricut

Today I had hoped to share a third project from the upcoming Jalie Galaxie bag series (you can see two versions, the Mars and Pluton from earlier posts this week), but instead of sewing, Easton and I worked on his poster project for school. While this isn’t necessarily blog-worthy, I did want to point out how easy the Cricut is to use because he did most of the work with a few directions:

So if you’re on the fence about getting a cutting machine because you’re concerned about how difficult it is to run, don’t be. Sure, there’s a bit of a learning curve for some of the more difficult techniques (i.e. the “knockout method” where a picture is inserted into text) that you may see on some crafting groups, but there’s plenty of videos to walk you through those… but for the basics – easy! Plus, your school projects (or scrapbooking pages, t-shirts, etc.) look very “professional” when you’re finished – as Easton said, “Where has this been all my life?”

With that said, I’m headed to the kitchen to prep for Thanksgiving. I hope everyone has a wonderful holiday!
