Since there’s still a chill in the air, I couldn’t resist squeezing in one more Marie-Claude Raglan Pullover… this time the hooded version. I had stumbled across a fun, performance knit fabric while at Joann’s that had a very Nike vibe, so I snagged a yard for the main body of this project. Then I came home and dug through my stash to find the navy Nike wicking fabric I had bought years ago at Needle Nook Fabrics. One thing I will say is that while the fabrics look good together, they are very different weights – the actual Nike fabric is thick (and needs a microtex needle to prevent skipped stitches), while the one from Joann’s is substantially thinner (but easier to sew on).
Once again, the top came together beautifully and the fit is great. Even though there is more piecing to this top than my last version, it was still easy to put together and sewed without any problems. I am looking forward to sewing up more of these in the future…. but now on to the next new pattern!
