Yesterday’s adventure in sewing included a bit more embroidery. I have to admit, it was refreshing to work with ‘light stitching’ instead of something that is very dense (2-4 hours of work to 12 minutes!). Now to put the finishing touches on this pattern and instructions and I can officially call this ‘in the can.’
What to sew next? Since the weather will eventually warm up, I’m gearing up for some spring sewing. High on my list of ‘must sews’ are: Jalie 3352 – a long sleeved dolman in an open weave fabric (I’ve wanted to do this since last year, but procrastinated because the fabric is VERY open), Sewaholic’s Davie Dress (I am in the process of putting this PDF together as we speak), a mystery project for Betz White’s sewing collective (I can’t wait to use the fun fabrics I have picked out for this one), Jalie 3353 – a cocoon cardigan (because I have suddenly taken to wearing fun cardi’s instead of hoodies this year), and, of course, more undies (and maybe even see how the cami sews up this time). Plus the new Seamwork Magazine will be out in just a few days and I’m anxious to see what they have in store this month (while I LOVED the first few, I’ve been a bit underwhelmed with the last two issues and haven’t made anything from them). WHEW, and that’s just my ‘starter’ list! What’s on your list of ‘must sews’?
