This weekweekend has been a whirlwind of activities: We had Easter (last Sunday), a few sewing deadlines completed, Easton’s birthday, Easton’s birthday party with friends, and prom. WHEW. It’s safe to say that not a whole lot of sewing was done this past week, but I’m gearing up for some productivity over the next few days (although I think it’s safe to say that I’m in a “it’s been a long week(end) and I think I’ll sit on the couch” kind of mood today). Up next: The Lady Skater. I’ve seen a lot of these patterns floating around and thought it was high time I give it a whirl. I’ve also decided that I’d enter it into the Girl Charlee contest (which means I had better hurry and sew because the deadline is Wednesday!). The details for the project are below, but I thought I would share the dress Taylor wore to prom this year (because that’s my favorite part is seeing the dresses). I can’t take credit for sewing this up and am thrilled that we found a ready-to-wear dress that had all the design elements she wanted (open back, floor length, color, etc.) and fit so well!
