Change of Plans

This weekend I had plans on whipping up one of my latest e-pattern purchases, Peek-a-Boo Pattern Shop’s Classic Footed Pajamas. Easton had expressed an interest in wearing a pair and combined with a pattern and fleece sale, I thought I had nothing to lose…. that is until the other day when we went shopping and he insisted on me buying a pair of Woody footed pjs (shown on the left, I tried to take a picture of him in them, but he refused) – he wore them for about 5 minutes, attempted to adjust how they fit (he kept trying to pull them tighter around him so I’m guessing he likes snug pajamas), told me how much he dislikes the giant zipper, and wanted them off. I have to admit, I’m disappointed that this throws a wrench in my sewing plans, but at least he discovered he didn’t like them before I spend hours trying to sew a pair up. I’m now left with a yard+ of shark print fleece that I’m not sure what I’ll do with…. I’m contemplating turning them into pajamas after all – just a pair of pants and then finding some coordinating jersey to make a raglan top. Anyone else have a favorite project that they like to use fleece with?
