Holiday Pears

I am still on my instant gratification project kick right now (that is what happens when there is a lack of sewing for almost a week) with my latest being…. Pears! It’s been ages since I whipped these up (they appeared in the Sew News Holiday 2007 issue) and I forgot how easy and fun they are to sew. They also coordinate with my Christmas decor (I have quite a few sugared fruits along my mantel) when I use just the right fabric (sticking with solids – one of the velveteens even has a gold scroll throughout it). Now that that’s out of my system, I think I’m ready to focus in on some projects on my ‘to do’ list! How about you all? What is everyone else working on?

Those are super cute! Is that golden wire on top?
I am working on Christmas gifts. They are all in varied stages of completion. On is a quilt top (for my aunt) that I just sandwiched. Another one is the Wiksten Tova top for my mom that I already cut out but need to sew together. Have you ever made one of those?

I love these. They are so cute. My instant gratification projects, or InstaGratPro (patent pending) are the wristlets. I don’t have many things I like to make over and over but these things are defo instagrat. 🙂

Those are so versatile! I love to give them away on St. Nikolaus day (6 Dec) that is celebrated here in Germany. I put in a few chocolates and a gift card. Everyone loves these! 🙂
