Simple Sewing

Taylor had a friend’s birthday the other day and since we didn’t find anything ‘fun’ while we were gone, I was left to figure out a gift when we got back home. That’s when I decided on a great standby… the box bag. This is just one of those gifts that work for just about anyone: you can change it up with different fabrics, fill it with goodies, and personalize it for the person you’re giving it to. For this version, I used a El Dia De Los Muertos Alexander Henry print, a chunky zipper, and added some pretty lotion on the inside. I think it’s perfect for the teenage girl!

oh to have you as a mom. 🙂 I agree that any teen girl would love this. I’ve not made anything in about 2 weeks and I’m itching to get back in my room and go for it. I want to make a small cross shoulder cell, essential stuff bag. We are going to Vegas the end of next week and I don’t want to lug a full size purse around. Did you link one of those things lately?

I haven’t seen one, but I’ll search around! I’m with you, Vegas is no place for a purse!
