Peeps You Can’t Eat

Where, oh where, did the weekend go? While it went way too fast, I have to admit, it was really productive. I managed to finish up two articles and start on some ‘fun’ sewing: Marshmallow Bunny Peeps. These little guys whipped up fairly quickly and I think they’ll make perfect basket stuffers. The directions given were easy to follow, but I wouldn’t recommend this particular project for beginners – there’s lots of curved sewing involved (not to mention that the pieces are on the smallish side) that might get a bit frustrating. The finished plush is small (around 7-8″) so if you’re looking for something larger, I’d recommend enlarging the pattern. Overall, something fun to make that I think the kids will get a kick out of. I made my peeps in a variety of different colors, but I have to admit, I like the yellow ones the best…. which one is yours?

I’ve so far made two pale pink bunny peeps out of a rib knit, because I had it on hand and wanted to use it up. I’d like to make a blue or purple one, as my boys LOVE the peeps. And I’m hoping to make the chicks this weekend.
