Over the past week, I’ve had lots of goodies arrive in my mailbox. First off, magazines:

First came my Ottobre Woman issue. My overall impression? MEH. It’s definitely not my favorite issue, but I did like the camisole and panty pattern in the back. I’m a sucker for lingerie. Speaking of, I’m very excited about Sweet Nothings which is released in less than a month. Has anyone heard anything about this book?
Next came Patrones…. for kids. My aunt and uncle made a trip to Peru and found this issue on a newstand. I was very excited thumbing through it – there are definitely some goodies to make in here. I’m not sure if Taylor’s measurements would fall into the larger girl’s sizes, but Easton will definitely be getting something from this issue.
Lastly, the latest issue of Cotton Time arrived yesterday. As usual, it’s chock full of inspiration and cute little projects. I have to say, my favorite projects are almost always the bags – I just wish I was better at sewing them up.
My fabric from the Fabric Fairy also arrived – I’m just loving what I got:

The two tattoo prints (one is a small, diaper cut) will become shirts (or in the case of the small cut) for Easton – I just need to find some good shirt patterns and do some assembly line sewing.
The zebra print is for Taylor. This year her cheer squad have several items with zebra prints (‘underbunders’, pom bags, wrestling cheer shirt) so Taylor has become crazy for this look. I have no idea what to make with it, but I think I’ll know it when I see it. No matter what, I better find something soon before she gets tired of this style!
Cute Birds Waterproof Japanese fabric. This is the material that led me to the entire purchase! I plan on working up a pattern for a cosmetic bag and using this as the exterior. Now I’m wondering what would make a good lining?
I Love Lucy knit. I had to buy this – I purchased some of the I Love Lucy woven from Fabric.com a few months ago and this knit coordinates perfectly. I’m thinking cute little pj set, after all October is pajama month!
