The fabric I ordered from Ann arrived Friday afternoon and I giddily went through it, thinking of all the possibilities!
The fabric on the left was inspired by some ready to wear tops that I spotted at Express – I’m thinking of modifying Jalie 2805 to a sleeveless look for this one.
I’m a sucker for stripes and this almost sheer gray version (it’s also slightly slubby which I love) caught my eye. Taylor loves to layer her clothing (she owns a ton of tanks that she wears under absolutely everything) so this fabric will be perfect for when Taylor needs a T. Of course it’s so soft and comfy feeling right now (even without washing it, it’s got that wonderful broken in feel) I may have to make something for myself too.
The paisley print is what really drew me into making a purchase. While out shopping, Express had some fantastic double layered tanks, one in a teal paisley print that I adored- unfortunately they were sold out of my size and I never got one. That’s when I saw this material! While it’s not a cotton jersey like the inspiration shirt, it is so close I don’t mind. Plus it scream summer. Now to just find a pattern that I like!
