Believe it or not, Easton turns one on Thursday! Where did the time go? I’ve been making plans for his party and settled on the standard “boy’s first birthday” theme – lots of basketballs, footballs, blue tones, etc. (only because Back at the Barnyard isn’t available, it’s his favorite show). Since I like consistency, I thought he needed a shirt to wear for his special day that matched the rest of the party wear – instead of buying one (they didn’t have one that matched anyway), I made it:

If you’re ever looking for plain toddler shirts, Hobby Lobby is your place (and with a 40% off coupon they are really inexpensive)!

Happy birthday Easton!! I can’t quite tell how the shirt was done, though, even with my squinting – is it applique, or screenprint, or embroidery, or iron-on or something else? Looks good though!
Don’t forget to make some crazy hat for him to wear….decorate the thing with all kinds of stuff, take a picture and save it for his wedding rehearsal dinner slide show or his graduation pictures to share with all of his friends…..it’s so so much fun! (I have a freshman in college and we had the best time humiliating him with pictures at his graduation last year! Trust me on this one
btw…..I just love that boy! …he thought it was funny as well
Happy Birthday Easton!
Happy Birthday Easton! Wow, it has been a fast year! I have enjoyed watching him grow over the past year.
With all the sewing and embellishing you do, especially for your children, I’m thinking–you need a YUDA!
Happy Birthday to the little boy. They grow up so fast!
What a cute little birthday shirt! Make sure you post some pictures after the shirt is covered in chocolate frosting!
My little one turned one in February and Back at the Barnyard is his favorite show too (and quite possibly my husband’s favorite). My husband was bummed when he couldn’t even find farm-animal decorations! We settled on monkeys.
