Stacy Sews Rss

Black Sheep, White Sheep, My Sheep

Category : Melly & Me Sheep

Just in time for Easter, the finished sheep:

As for construction, I have to admit that I didn’t follow the directions precisely. I sewed the arms to the body first (the instructions call for hand tacking them to the body and I felt that sewing machine stitches would be stronger than my ladder stitching!). After turning the body right side out, I folded the raw edges to the inside, attached the legs and sewed, leaving an opening for stuffing. I sewed the opening closed by hand.
Overall, I’m very pleased with the way they turned out, let’s hope the kids feel the same way!

Very cute Stacy! The kids will love ‘em. Have a great Easter weekend.

Those turned out really nice! I know you’re very proud of them. I’m winding down myself with a few more things to finish up before Easter. I’ll be happy when Monday gets here.
I saw your Sew Along post and looked at all the free patterns. I’m seriously thinking of doing some things. I printed out a few last night. We will see. I need to get Easter behind me first.

Adorable!!! I’m almost finished with mine. I took your cue and machine sewed the arms. I just have a bit more hand sewing to do. Happy Easter!

Very nice! Check out the video on the right side bar of Lilatuellerdesins.com It’s titled create…..a wonderful inspirational (short) speach on creating….just in time for Easter…..It inspired me :-)
Have a happy Easter

Very cute and so much nicer than the cheapo animals from the discount store. These were made with love.

They are so cute! Have a great Easter weekend!

I need to give this pattern a try. I like the Serta sheep and these look close enough.

Adorable, Stacy!

Too cute!

You inspire me to make some soft toys. They are fantastic!!! They will love them..

Those are too cute! I really like the print you went with instead of standard solid colors.
Hope you have a wonderful Easter.

Oh Stacy, these are precious!
Just in the nick of time, I finished mine tonight! I didn’t follow instructions to close either. And for some odd reason, I did the head upside down. I kind of like it!
I couldn’t wait to give it to Aidan and he loves it!
Happy Easter to you and your family!
