Ouch!

I’m taking a break from my ‘to do list’ to work on a new tutorial. This gives me a perfect ‘excuse’ to try out some fabulous fabrics – like Alexander Henry‘s Los Novios. Believe it or not, I found it at Joann‘s. While I can’t show you exactly what I’m working on, I can show you the aftermath:

My mom had given me a new glue gun and it must be industrial quality because this baby gets HOT. And I have the index finger to prove it!

Ouch – that looks uncomfortable! I am still a big chicken with regard to glue guns; I don’t own one and hate using them in craft classes. I find that other glues do the job – they just take longer to set. And I’ve found that even commercially glue-gunned items tend to break apart at the join over time because the dried hot glue is so brittle. Anyway – that’s my excuse and I’m sticking to it! LOL

I looked at your finger and then went “ooooh” out loud, and then said to myself, “You goof, you’ve got 6 stitches on your OWN finger! (I was attacked by a flying kitchen counter TV, really!) However, I have to say, my finger doesn’t hurt, but burns keep hurting for awhile, so you get the most sympathy!

Ow!!! It’s amazing the damage those super hot appliances can do (says the girl sporting a curling iron burn on her neck that looks less like a burn than it does evidence of a torrid 7th grade love affair).

I hope you are ok..and that is not hurting bad.

OUCH! That looks like it ~still~ hurts!

And we’re always telling our kids to be careful! And look at us adults, getting hurt at the sake of crafting. Hope it’s feeling better. Not too long ago, I cut myself pretty bad with my rotary cutter. I mean bad. I was really upset. Thing is I wasn’t upset about cutting myself. Even though I wasn’t sure it would stop bleeding. I was upset that it was slowing me down from finishing the project that I was working on. ;-)
FYI – I gave you and your blog a shout out on my blog.
