My favourite Christmas gift that I gave would have to be the fishing rod and tackle set that I gave to my hubby- the man has finally got a hobby!!!!:)

  2. Katrina

Wow, a way to use 2 inches of fabric! I need that. I keep all of my scraps thinking that I can do something with that, but not knowing what. I always figure that eventually I’ll end up throwing it out. I did throw some away last month and my Mom took it out the bag saying that she might quilt with it. Now, she is in her 70’s and has never quilted a day in her life and hasn’t sewn since I was 18 in highschool. So those scraps will continue to be scraps I’m sure!

Thanks for doing this crafty book giveaway week! I would love this book! I enjoy reading your blog a lot and wish I could sew as well as you can! I’m forever on a search for how to work with bias tape. I’ve only worked with it once and it wasn’t a pretty sight! HA!

Oh No, I want this one too if I don’t win its going to cost me a fortune! Fave Christmas gift a Bose wave for my work room, love it, love it. I can listen to all the radio stations I’ve missed since leaving London. hugs Dx

My favorite Christmas gift was Rock Band for the Xbox 360. I’m not much of a video game-player but this game is sooo fun. 🙂 Sadly it’s taken up most of my free time so my sewing has suffered. I think I just need a little inspiration (like a good book!) to get going again. 🙂

The favorite gift I gave was the bedroom makeover – not much can top that! And who doesn’t need to use up all those scraps, I knew there was a reason I save them.

    Hi Stacy!
I have been reading your blog for awhile now and acutally made the zipper box pouches for my friends for xmas… i filled with a bunch of manicure and pedicure things, lotion, files, nail polish. They loved them and thought they were such a cute idea! I really love your site and like to see what you are working on 🙂 i havent moved on to making clothes yet… but yours are sure an inspiration! I have a dress pattern that hopefully i can get up enough courage to make for this summer 🙂
This book looks like a lot of fun, and the others look great as well! Thank you for doing this, great idea to pass along to others 🙂
    Take care,
    Jenna

I save all my scraps for my daughter to “play” with…I think we would have a lot of fun with this book!

Think that book will contain hints on what to do with all these pieces of baby blue satin leftover from the Cinderella dresses I made the nieces for Christmas?

  10. Diane

Wow! That book sounds just like what I need. The scraps are beginning to take over the sewing room but I can’t seem to part with any of them. Never know when you’ll need them, right? My favorite Christmas gift this year was from my husband– A Penny Brite doll just like I got for Christmas when I was 5 years old! She’s a little retro now, but so am I, so we’re good together!

  11. J.J.

My fave gift that I gave this year – hmmm, I have a few. I made several Amy Butler things for my sister (who is due with her first baby next month) and I knitted an AWESOME lambswool scarf for my (new) boyfriend. Very well received. Thanks for the opportunity! I want to WIN WIN WIN!!! 😉

My favorite gift was a new iron. I know most women hope for jewelry and sentimental gifts but I’m very practical and it has taken me nearly 10 years to convince my husband that it is indeed ok to give me appliances as gifts!

I had this book on my Amazon wish list, but never got around to buying it-other books just kept jumping in my cart! It does sound like a book with great ideas and I would love to win it! I enjoy your blog-read it everyday. My favorite Christmas gift that I gave was a marker roll and a drawstring bag that I sewed out of hockey fabric for my 4 year old nephew! Now, he wants to color with his “hockey markers” and tote all of his small toys around in his “hockey bag”. So cute!

  14. HeatherG

I am such a fabric Junkie too! I would love great ideas for using up all the countless scraps I’ve saved over the years.
My fave xmas gift I got this xmas was a pair of Marc Jacobs rain boots from my brother in law, and my husband bought the family a new entertainment center which is awesome!!!

  15. kelly

You know, your blog is the first one I read on any given day, but that’s going to have to end! I’ve now added three books to my amazon wish list — I simply cannot afford to read your blog anymore!
Well, I can wait until after the 18th to order, and if I win one maybe I can justify purchasing the others.

I’d love to win this book! My favorite gift this x-mas was probably my interview suit- couldn’t get a job without it, haha!

  17. Mary Claire

This is just the book I need. So many scraps and what to do with them all! Happy New Year and thanks for doing this giveaway! I

I just threw out alllllllllll my scraps!!!!!!! Nice!!!
    That’s okay…I’ll make more.;)
HMMMM…my favorite gift. My favorite gift this year is a hat from my two year old (because really he wanted to get me some kitty slippers, but he knew I needed a hat more, well dad did anyway. And my favorite gift given was a back-pack to my two year old,he wears it with such pride!

  19. Virginia

Like everyone else, I would love a book that helps me know what to do with those scraps I can’t throw away but can’t figure out what to do with. Thanks for the contest.
    Virginia

  20. karmela

ahh, to use up scraps! although this might hurt my system of tossing anything that’s too small…2 inches would definately qualify as too small…but maybe not anymore.

  21. Judi

Wow! This book looks great! Thanks again for the chance to win.
I have to share that I got a fantastic Christmas present from my husband… A Cuttlebug machine for embossing and die cutting for my card making hobby. I was so excited, that I spent the rest of Christmas day playing and making cards!
I love your blog site by the way… it is the only one that I check every time I get online.

  22. MaryD

    Good Evening Stacy!
This book is just what I need- I actually went through and ironed all my fabric scraps and organized them by color last month- crazy way to procrastinate from cleaning the rest of the house!
I don’t think I could pick a favorite gift I received- it was just nice to be remembered by our family and friends in the states who sent gifts and cards since we’ve been out here in Puerto Rico celebrating Christmas on our own for two years in a row now.
I’m a bit disappointed to say I only made ONE gift- I had such grand plans, just not enough time!
Thanks for the contest and buenas noches.

  23. Adrienne

What a cool book. Favorite gift … my dad got us one of those picture frames that changes pictures – it’s pretty cool and the boys really like watching and seeing what/who is coming up next!

  24. Anary

Gezz this book would put my little pieces of scrap for a super good use..note to self. Think positive. I need one more book to get rid of my scraps!

  25. Eden

My favorite holiday gift this year made my husband chuckle – my co-worker and I love buttered toast in the mornings but hate how the cold butter breaks up the toast! We found these butter bells/butter crocks online and each bought one for home and one to share at work. I am madly in love with my little present every time I eat toast!

  26. Perrin

Ahh, yes this is on my resolution list…use up all of those scraps that are stored not so neatly in the sewing room. I’d love to see what the book has to say about great ideas on how to turn the stash into something wonderful.
    Thanks.

  27. Liz

My favorite gift that I received was a dressform from my sister-in-law, even though the bust is way too big for me to use 🙂 My favorite I gave was my sister’s wrap dress!
This looks like an awesome book! I have so so many little scraps!

  28. mamasoo

I would love this book! As a new sew-her, I’m making lots of scraps!
My favorite gift that I gave this year was a giant pink brontosaurus. My office adopted a family, and the daughter loved pink, and dinosaurs, so I made her one! My nephew also loved his green stegasaurus!
Pick me, Monty! Thanks for the giveaway!

  29. Anne

The favorite gift to give was the Wii to my husband – he SO did not expect it and his jaw just dropped. My best Christmas gift will be the inventory of my new sewing room! (Yet to be set up…)

  30. Chelsey

The favourite gift I gave was my son’s Woody and Buzz characters. He’s loving them! Thanks for the giveaway!

  31. Cindy

My favorite gift was a new camera! I have a bunch of scraps because I can’t bear to throw them away, I’d love ideas for things to make with them.

  32. Jeannie W.

Better late than never! My favorite gift that I gave, was Steelers pj fleece pants that I made for DH. They’re a bit big but he loves them. Hopefully they’ll win tomorrow! Thanks for the big giveway! Good luck everyone!

  33. Katie

My favorite gift was a teapot for my sister. I had found the matching cups & saucers 2 years ago for her birthday, and stumbled on the teapot one lazy Saturday, antique shopping with friends.
