I seem to really be on a roll sewing up items for my Christmas Stocking swap. My latest creation…

is something a bit on the smaller scale:

Carrie collects Blythe dolls. I know that one of the best parts about owning a Blythe is the ability to dress her up in cute clothes. So to celebrate the season I sewed up a Santa hat and skirt set for her doll. For those interested, I used this tutorial for the hat and found the measurements for the skirt here. To round out this package, I ordered a fun Re-Ment miniature. I think I could easily become addicted to these tiny toys – they remind me of the pieces I used to set up in my Barbie Dream House when I was a kid.

You had a Barbie Dream House! Now I’m really jealous. I could only dream of ever owning one!! I love the movie “13 Going on 30” where she gets her own “Jenna Dream House”. Darling outfit, too!!

Never had a Barbie – born two minutes too soon – LOL. But had a “Little Miss Revlon” fashion doll (who was overcome by Barbie advertising in a short time.) LMR had comb-able hair and a more demure figure.
But I sometimes buy Barbie outfits – plan to hang them as a group in a shadow box – maybe for my dressing room area. The dolls may be odd-looking but the clothes/accessories were often wonderful.
And I KNOW I would have wanted a dream house!!!!
Blythe dolls are so fun to look at online. Great little Santa outfit for her to pose in!
