I knew it was going to happen – that inevitable ‘hair loss’ that comes with no longer being pregnant. Not only did it feel like I was going to eventually wind up looking like Daddy Warbucks, but it was also getting horrible split ends. So, yesterday, I did it, I chopped off a lot of my hair and boy do I feel better!
When I came home, I found the Japanese purse books that I had recently purchased had arrived:

If you read many Japanese craft book sites, you may recognize the first book, Cozy Handbags and Pouches (ISBN 483472235) – this one is chock full of adorable handbags and is definitely my favorite. The other two don’t have English title translations but they are ISBN 452904173 and ISBN 4529040011. I’m anxious to try them out, but they may have to wait a bit until after I finish up several projects on my sewing table.
Don’t forget to vote for your favorite kid’s project at Pattern Review – there are some absolutely amazing items in the gallery! I actually entered 3 things – Little Stitches Military Hat, Little Stitches Everything Bag, and Heather Bailey’s Happy Stacker Ring Toy…. I think this may be the first time I’ve entered a PR contest and it didn’t include clothing!
I also joined another swap – the Christmas Stocking swap. You may remember this one from last year where I received a FANTASTIC Wonder Woman stocking from Carrie. Guess what? We’ve partnered up again this year and I’ve been brainstorming since we decided to join. Stay tuned for upcoming Christmas goodies!
I’ve got a lot of links to post so I’ll be putting them up over the weekend!

The new hair is very nice indeed!
Sorry I can’t read the one in the middle – that’s a level above my japanese!
The book on the far right is “watashi no bagu” or “my bag”, which isn’t as exciting as one would hope
I *love* the new ‘do! It suits you so perfectly, I actually had to stop and think about how your hair was before…
You look beautiful.
I LOVE the new “do”! It think it looks fresh and fun – you look fabulous!!!
You look terrific!
Handbags: Having seen the low quality and unappealing ready-made bags now available in my price range, I may have to start making bags, too. I think the oil prices/economy have forced stores and manufacturers to lower their standards a LOT, rather than raise their prices.
Luckily, sewing skills are recession-proof! And the “stash” is now justified. LOL
Stacy – you look gorgeous! Great cut.
I love your new hair cut.
Stacy,
I love your new haircut. I looks very cute and chic.
So funny… I recently blogged about the same exact thing and also cut mine into a bob.
Your hair looks super-de-duper cute!
I love your new haircut! It looks great on you!
I love your hair cut! I wish i could pull of something that cute!
I really enjoy reading your blog, and I wanted to let you know that you are one of my crafty blogs this week!
Love
