Linky Thursday

There’s a new project up at the Sewing Republic – a purse organizer. I’m thinking this would make a great Christmas gift this year.

Quite some time ago I wrote a post about the demise of Timtex. Although I had a lovehate relationship with the thick interfacing, it’s departure affected several patterns. Amy Butler has revised a few of hers that used Timtex and replaced it with Peltex. You can read more about it and the patterns it changed here.

I took the color test too. Whoa, I swear I thought the boxes were changing color on me but I stuck it out and glad I did. I got a 33! woohoo! I always thought color wasn’t a strong point with me. Maybe I should rethink that! Thanks for the link!

Fun hue test! I scored 39 the first quick try. Then I tried it again wearing red lens sunglasses (a trick quilters use to view “grey value” rather than hue!) to prearrange the color blocks a bit before moving them into place with my “‘normal” vision. (Red lenses are no help with the red/orange/yellow colors which all wash out to whitish. My score was then 28!
