What’s In The Box?

I’ve got to stop opening mail from fabric companies. I was lured into visiting Fabric.com recently because of the $3.95 shipping and look what arrived:

Alright, the baby wasn’t shipped in the box, but we sure had fun playing in it last night! Actually here’s what my order looked like:

I couldn’t resist picking up a few prints from Sandi Henderson’s Farmer’s Market line. I recently saw an etsy listing for a box pouch by ReFabulous (which I fell in love with) that reminded me a lot of Sandi’s apple print so I snagged several yards with the intention of making several box pouches for Christmas gifts (a good tutorial can be found here). I also purchased a whitegold sweater knit – any good patterns come to mind for it?

Oh – hahah I just took a big swallow of tea right as I hit the down arrow to your post and I very nearly did a spit-take all over poor Easton. Actually, not “poor Easton” at all – it looks like he’s having a whale of a time! You might have a budding sewer in the works there… 🙂

Oh, look how big he is getting! cool! And so cute and happy!
Oh, I’ve been thinking about getting some of that sweater knit the have in the 1.95 section, too. I think I only have until Tuesday to get the special deal they have going on right now, though!!

Eaton is really making me wish I had a baby nearby. He is fun even in 2-D!
Such pretty fabrics, and that box bag tutorial makes it look like a snap. Thanks for finding it.
I can’t see much detail of the knit fabric but I bet it would make a nice shrug or one of those “scarf wrap cardigans” that are very popular. Or a wrapped sweater vest – if you wear vests (I think they look stylish worn with a leather belt).Or maybe sew up a quick hat and scarf set.

I have some of that same fabric (and a similar looking baby!) lurking in my stash 🙂 Such fun stuff!
