Normally on a Wednesday night, I’ll sit down and type up the Thursday’s Links post so it’s ready to go in the morning (it takes quite a bit of time to write this one up). Last night, I was a bit distracted with good programming (who all watched Project Runway last night?) I did manage to finish my swap partner’s gift……

I found a stripe material in my stash that matched the colors in the dots perfectly and decided to use it for the bias binding (it seems to add a lot of interest to the relatively ‘plain’ interior). The down side to this was that there was very little material so the binding has been pieced together is several locations. I also added a flap to the roll to keep the needles from falling out (needles not included!). With my craft finished (only one was required for this swap), I need to find my partner some material and notions and this package will be all wrapped up!
Now it’s back to the racerback tank!

I watched Project R. I had only previously watched one episode a long time ago. For the last few years I’ve barely watched TV because we ceased to have one on the main level of our house, and I don’t like going down into the dungeon (basement). Then the other day I was reading an article on T. Gunn and it dawned on me that I sew and should watch PR and that I CAN WATCH PR WITHOUT GOING TO THE BASEMENT because NOW I have a small TV in the kitchen! (Obviously I don’t watch IT that much either since I kind of forgot about it.) I’m so inefficient and slow, so having the TV on makes it worse. I may have trouble when the moment comes for the “rejections”…they all look so tense, maybe even terrified! When I saw what the “challenge” was, I thought about not watching, but then decided go ahead, and I was surprised to see what most of them “pulled off” with grocery store junk.
I forgot all about Project Runway. We watched Bob Costas special on baseball. It was good, but I would have rather watched Project Runway.
My DD and I watched the last half of PR. Actually, I was reading Arkansas’ state newspaper, and my DD glimpsed an article about the Little Rock resident, Korto Momolu, who is a contestant. So, we tuned in and enjoyed seeing the finished garments on the models as they strolled down the runway. MY DD, a recent apparel studies grad, just began a job as a clothing buyer for a major dept. store, so she watches PR with a critical eye. BTW, Stacy, you did a great job on the knitting-needle case! I love the fabric combinations.
What a cute needle roll! I bet your partner will love it.
MAN… when PR is on, that is when I dread not having BRAVO.
Holy! When did they annouced that PR was coming back. I missed big time!
Yup I watched! I was sort of surprised it was one, it snuck up on me with my vacations, etc. I really enjoyed it! Felt bad for poor Jerry though.
