Week 1

It’s hard to believe that a week ago I was in labor and delivered Easton! This has been one of the fastest weeks of my life – and such a fun (and sleepy) one too. We’re all slowly settling into a ‘routine’ and I’m doing lots of mental plans for upcoming sewing projects (as for the cupcakes – I finished an unembellished ‘mini’ version last night). But for today, here’s a few photos of our little guy:

Don’t forget today is the last day for the Sophia Carry-All Sew Along Contest! Be sure to upload your photos of your new bag by midnight tonight for your chance to win this month’s prize, Simply Stylish Bags: 18 Stunning Designs for All Occasions.

Oh my goodness -he is so beautiful! Time does go so darn quick. How fun, how fun.
So I could have predicted that I wouldn’t finish my Sophia bag but I am still disappointed.

I haven’t had a chance to congratulate you yet on your beautiful boy! So Congratulations!!! I was telling my husband all about my ‘Blog Buddies’ and as I was checking your blog and talking about you were past your due date I was surprise and happy to read that little Easton was finally here. I just love the feet picture. I’ve never been a feet person but every since I had my kids, I just love baby feet. I find myself staring at them because they’re just so darn CUTE. And I kiss them all the time. All those little toes are just amazing…. It’s like you never stopped with the blogging/ sewing. Way to go. I’ve been pondering how am I going to squeeze in sewing time after my little one gets here (it’s hard enough with the 3 I have). I strictly nurse for the 1st month so I’ll have to figure out a way to do that and work the sewing machine at the same time!!!! Then I’ll be periodically expressing milk for bottles afterwards so I guess it will get better. There isn’t really a choice of one or the other so I’ll have to work it some way. How’s the big sister taking to her little brother?

    Stacy,
You remind me of a pioneer woman–the kind who sews her own dress in the morning, works the fields until lunch, births a baby, wraps the baby up in skirt of her apron and continues picking cotton, which she later plucks, cleans, spins and hand dyes to make her own ensemble to wear the next day!
    Easton is so precious!
