Belly Shots and New Fabrics

11

Category : General

With 5 days to go now (crossing fingers), I felt like it was probably time to update everyone with a belly shot:

Just for reference, here’s what I looked like at 13 weeks. Yikes – look at the difference!
Seeing that I’m almost done with this pregnancy and the thought of wearing clothing that is tent-ish is looking very appealing, I decided to surf the web for new fabrics. Actually, I got the Gorgeous Fabrics email the other night and saw that she was offering fabric groupings\capsules and I couldn’t resist looking. I fell in love with her Navy\Coral, but decided that I would ‘look around’ before I decided on anything. Well, that lead to me picking up several pieces that screamed spring instead…. this dainty floral jersey, two-tone reversible denim (this was a suggestion she made to go with the floral jersey and it looked so good in the photos together that I couldn’t help but pick it up), ‘it’s not easy being green’ jersey (because I don’t have any green in my wardrobe at the moment), and the groovy print in blue (I had purchased the red version last spring and love it so much, I couldn’t resist getting the print in another color). I have no idea what I’ll be making with these at the moment, but needless to say, I’ll be searching through my Burda magazines and stashed patterns for some ideas!
What have you bought recently and what are your plans with your new fabric(s)?

Wow, so there’s a little person in there? Ha-ha!
It all looks perfect.
You are so much better organized and motivated than I remember being when the second baby came along. Keep up the good work, because we enjoy reading about it.

Whoa! I wasn’t expecting THAT picture on a sewing blog! LOL It won’t be long, now! Seeing your belly reminds me of what a miracle birth is! Blessings to you and your family.

Well as a surgical nurse who gets to do c-sections about twice a week on average. Life is a miracle and i still get teary when i see that babe take its first breath and hear that first cry. I love that!
As a mom of three great kids/young adults i cant say i did not like any age we were at. from newborns to terrific twos to kindergarten then my third will graduate next spring! I love it all!! may God bless the life inside you, and may your family be blessed b/c of the babys life.
Congrats, and P.S. if you could only wait till Tuesday the 22nd, that just happens to be my daughters 17th and my 40something birthday! I was so lucky she was born on my birthday. we get mommy and Caitlin day each April 22!!! and we plant a tree in our yard for Earth day!
Again this is about you! so congrats and i pray all goes perfect! Cant wait till we see pictures of a cute baby, proud daddy and flat tummy!

Can’t wait to see the first pics of who’s inside that tummy. Isn’t it just amazing what the body can do (not to mention how “stretchable” it is)? I’m looking forward to the fruition of my first ever blog pregnancy and pray for a short wait for you, a trouble-free delivery and for the great joy that awaits you and your family.

You are so close to holding that sweet baby in your arms. How exciting for you and your family.
I have some fabrics for blouses to make up and I have been thinking about the dainty floral jersey.

Yippee, only a few more days and you’ll be holding that little sweetie in your arms. You are all “belly” my dear and look fantastic! I can’t wait to see pictures and hear all about the birth. The miracle of life, it’s such a remarkable thing! Praying for an easy and safe labor & delivery!

What a great belly! Little Bret will be out and about pretty soon! YAY!

What a beautiful belly shot. You certainly are one of the lucky ones who just show their pregnancy so nicely! I can’t wait for the day where we hear all about the little guy and how he arrived in the world. I will pray for a great delivery for you!

I’m so jealous of you! My younger child is now 4, and I wish I was just bringing him home from the hospital. I really do. It goes so fast!!!
I bought the weirdest shear fabric from Walmart, a strange floral, that I think I want to make into a caftan/swimsuit cover-up. This weekend? Maybe, I’ll just finish up those denim pot holders!

I always appreciate your links! I seriously need some fabric!
Your little baby looks like he is a nice position.
We had 10 babies last night at the hospital! I was thinking of you.
Hang in there Stacey!

Wow, seems like you’re going to go right up to your due date! I guess it’s okay for you go and be away for a few days and not post… since you’re having a baby and all! (SMILE) I’ll be checking each day for the blessed news….Best wishes… I hope all goes well.
I myself will be making a move to Georgia right before my 4th is born in July. Sorta like you. Though this would be the 3rd time I’ve moved right before having a baby so it seems like the norm to me.
