I generally love the way Charlize Theron dresses and this outfit is no exception. At first glance, the top she’s wearing reminded me of this Burda World of Fashion top (from the October 2007 edition) and is the closest that I’ve come so far in re-creating her belted version. What a sharp top! Shiny, Black and draped. I even like the belt.
I decided to get over my fear of shiny fabrics that expose figure flaws and bought a sale rack dress. It is “liquid silver” in a graphite color. Draping all around the mid-section plus a swingy, knee-length skirt makes it more figure-friendly. But I will still have to watch my middle so this dress will be like a carrot – can’t wear it out dancing unless I eat right and exercise. haha.
