Before I get into my purchases from yesterday, I wanted to give everyone a heads up – If you have a Hancock Fabrics near you, check out their magazine section, it appears that they are 50% off everyday, without a coupon (I am assuming this is all stores and not just my local one)! Unfortunately, Craft is not one of their titles (but Threads is)….
I don’t know what to name this post, other than what it is. It seems like I’ve been planning on making my Burda Tunic for ages, but with all the excitement going on here, haven’t been able to. Well, finally, I can say that I’ve now begun working on it. It’s so official, I even added it to my project sidebar!
Today’s post was originally going to be an update on projects, maybe a book review (I have 3 that I would like to do). Instead, I stumbled across some very unique links that I couldn’t wait to share.
How many boxes does it take to pack up a sewing room?
Even though I may not be getting lots of sewing in this past week, I managed to get some craftyness in the mail!
The first package was a Calculated Act of Kindness from MeLisa. She made Taylor and I matching headbands – Taylor saw them and wound up wearing hers all day. I am in need of it, since I’ve been having some really bad hair days lately.
Who would have thought it could happen here? Snow in mid-April. I won’t dwell on the weather, but as I look outside, it looks crazy – birds chirping and everything covered in snow…..
So what have I been up to since yesterday?
Since I’ve been told by the dr. to ‘take it easy’, I’ve been doing lots more surfing than normal. Consequently, I’ve come up with some new fun links!
First off, I forgot to thank everyone yesterday for all their congratulations and well wishes! Thank you – I’ll be keeping everyone posted as time goes one. I also wanted to say thanks for all the swap ideas – they were all great and now I can assemble something fantastic (more to come in the next few days).
Now on to some goodies!
