Elastic Queen

I paid a visit to Needle Nook yesterday and look what I brought back! Lots and lots (and lots) of elastics (and a few other goodies too)!

Most of these will be stashed for future uses – so I can whip up a pair or two of underwear when the mood strikes (or I have a great leftover). Some will be used immediately – the black for the Kwik Sew babydoll panties, pink and white for some buttermilk and onionskin scraps, and purple to test out some styles (I plan on tracing some RTW favorites).
The black and red material off to the left of the photo are 6 – 6 1/2 inch wide stretch lace that will be used to make two more pairs of Brazilian hipsters from Jalie 2568.
Lastly, I purchased a yard of the rose photo-print Glamour Glow material. I’ve been eyeing it for awhile and finally broke down and purchased a yard. I have no idea what I’m going to do with it, but figured that I should probably snag it while I was there.
My underwear making sweatshop will have to be put on hold for the day – I’m answering phones at Taylor’s school (crossing my fingers that I don’t hang up on too many people). Then tonight, it’s on to the Kwik Sew tank!

You amaze me. I can’t believe you make your own underwear. 🙂
My mom used to make my brother’s underwear. Tighty-whities with saggy bums and striped elastic. Those were the days.
