I was supposed to take my second lingerie class today. However, more snow quickly changed those plans! So after shoveling the driveway (which had accumulated around 4 inches), I decided to start on my large Valentine Swap craft (so Briana, if you’re reading this don’t continue on – spoilers ahead!).
Before all my posts this week become photos of Valentine’s Day swap projects and lingerie, I thought I should share that I finished my Amy Butler Kimono!
I guess you can be expecting more lingerie sewing from me in the future – I had my class last night and am very motivated!
You may have noticed that there have been a few changes to the site over the weekend.
I can’t resist a sale – especially if it’s dealing with fabric (and everything’s $1yard).
I suppose the title of this post says it all – lots of things seems to arrive yesterday! However, before I get started, Karine of topstitchgirl tagged me – so I thought that I should 1) put up a link to my previous post on the weird things about myself and 2) add a couple of things that I though of after my previous entry:
1. I know everyone has some sort of strangeness about their food, so here’s mine. I don’t like mixing foods together (I can not stand the sight of casseroles). The only exception to this is mixing my mashed potatoes with corn and meat (those KFC bowls look delicious!). Fruit inside Jello is also very wrong in my book.
2. I got to pet a dolphin. When I was little (around 5), we went to Worlds of Fun (or some sort of amusement park) where they had a dolphin show. They picked me from out of the crowd to call up the dolphins (their names were Dolly and Skipper) and then I got to pet one. I also got to sit in a firetruck and turn on the sirens and lights, but that’s another story.
I’m sure that after I post this, I’ll think of more….. but for now, on to the goodies!
I stopped by Joann’s this afternoon to pick up a few supplies for my Valentine’s Day Swap (we get our partner’s tonight). While I was there, there manager told me received an email today and all clearance fabrics will be $1yrd tomorrow. I’m assuming that this will be the same for all Joann’s. So, who’s going shopping?
I want to start off this post by saying a HUGE thank you to everyone who sent such wonderful emails and comments after my post yesterday. It means a lot to me knowing that I belong to such a wonderful community of people. Thank you again and I want you to know that I am sending out big (virtual) hugs to everyone.
Today is a new day (I am feeling much better) and I’m ready to get back to my sewing adventures…
Yesterday was the one year anniversary of my father’s death.
