The Day After

I hope that everyone had a wonderful, restful 3 day weekend and is ready to start back up the week! Much of our day yesterday was spent playing UNO Attack – if you’re looking for a fun game for your family to play, I highly recommend this one!

I also started reading my Saturday Night Hat book – I am so excited to start making some hats (I think that the engineer cap will be first)! Later on in the week, I’ll be posting a review, but in the mean time, check out the author’s website – she does some amazing work (although it comes with a hefty pricetag).
This morning I went to Joann’s ‘after Christmas’ sale and was pleasently suprised that the store was practically empty! It may have something to do with the fact it was after 10 and most die hard shoppers had already left the store. I came out with only 2 pieces of fabric – both of which are featured on the Simplicity 3956 tank. At the moment, I can’t take pictures since Bret’s tone port is using the camera’s USB port. However, I’m not going to complain too much, he just told me that I could order a Singer Quantumlock Serger this afternoon! I just love that man!
After we get the camera hooked back up to the computer, I’ll post photos of my completed bag an will have a review up of the pattern – this will probably be late tonight or early tomorrow.

Cool — a new serger! How much fun will that be??!!! Glad your missing Patrones magazine finally arrived too–a good day all around for you!

Congrats on the new serger. I just got my first serger in August and love it.
I wish we had a Joanns. I have had that pattern since it came out and can’t find a fabric that I like for it. We don’t have many options when it comes to fashion fabrics around her.
Can’t wait to see your finished bag, my 2nd one is almost done. I hope to get a picture up soon.

YAY! A new serger. That is a great gift. Your treats look delicious and your tree is big and beautiful. Merry Christmas (late). 🙂
