Dispite all my seam ripping issues, I’ve managed to finish my Simplicity wrap top & skirt – whew! Not only that, I’m really happy with how it turned out.
However, I have a few suggestions if you decide to make this top. First, make sure that you transfer all your pattern markings. I did, but used a white heat sensitive pen, so when I pressed my seams, they disappeared! This made applying the neckcollar facing difficult and getting the front panels to crossover at the appropriate places problematic (some of my seam ripping happened at this part). Secondly, I found that this pattern has very little ease – so I stayed within my pattern size (generally a 10) without having to go down a size.
Overall, this is a great pattern – I didn’t have to make any allterations (except for the petite adjustment that was printed on the skirt), it went togetther pretty fast, and the fit is great! In my opinion, this is another winner from Simplicity.
