Yes, this really is the same pair of jeans (disregard the color differences – that’s what happens when you take pictures in a basement) that’s been reconstructed into another ruffle skirt. After doing some back to school shopping with Taylor the other day I decided that I could produce a skirt that was much cheaper (free, since this was an already existing pair of jeans in her dresser) and way cuter than anything that was already out there.

I originally made this skirt for myself over a month ago using the instructions in the book, Sew Subversive (here’s a link to my book review if you’re interested). I’m not sure how long Taylor will be able to wear this skirt since the jeans already fit very well, but at least this should get us through the first few months of school – and to top it off, she loves it!
