Sewing Up Quick Gifts
Even though the temperatures are still above 80, I’m beginning to think a lot about Christmas – there are, after all, a little over 100 days of creative sewing time left! So, about this time every year, I start looking through books to get some ideas as to what I can make for the many people in our lives. It only stands to reason that Sew It in Minutes: 24 Projects to Fit Your Style and Schedule caught my eye.

How do you feel when a famous and respected designer goes ‘mainstream’? That is, starts a label with a department store chain. How about when you hear that designer is Vera Wang and she will be creating a line of clothes for Kohl’s?

It’s Ragweed Season, Again
My allergies have been absolutely killing me for the past two days – it’s been so bad that I feel like I have a winter cold. I did manage to crawl out from under a blanket and made my way to Joann’s latest sale.
Simplicity Wrap Up
Dispite all my seam ripping issues, I’ve managed to finish my Simplicity wrap top & skirt – whew! Not only that, I’m really happy with how it turned out.

Sewin’ Up A Sash
The last few days I’ve been doing the household drudgery of laundry, mowing, cleaning, etc. so I haven’t finished as much as what I would have liked on my latest Simpicity dress. However, I did manage to get one more piece done!
No Sweater Knitting?
I took up knitting last summer so that I could have something crafty to do while I was in the car, waiting for Taylor to come out of school. I figured that I would have around 20 mintues to work on some sort of project each day.
Completed Skirt
I’ve been busy working on my Simplicity 4074 outfit this week and managed to get the skirt finished!
