Get Up And Sew

The campers came home early yesterday – the fish just weren’t biting. Consequently, I didn’t get any more sewing done. But, I did get some fantastic stuff during my trip to Joann’s.

First off, their “Get Up and Sew Saturday” was no big deal – no demonstrations, just an extra coupon (there may have been some extra fabric sales not mentioned in the fliers too). I had a really hard time finding something to use the coupon on though, but settled on some nude colored swimsuit lining – they never put it on sale, anyway. I also got two fabrics from their Botanical Garden line which were absolutely yummy and 50% off! The first one is a burgandy jersey which I plan on using for Simplicity 4074 – the sleeveless top, sash, and skirt. The second is a mesh (very much like Emma One Sock’s onionskin) print also in burgandy that coordinates with the jersey. I have no idea what I’m going to make with it, but I loved it so much, I couldn’t pass it up.
Now, I seriously need to get sewing. I have a sneeking suspiscion that my new fabrics may not fit into my sewing stash space. It’s a good thing I didn’t purchase the Wazoodle t-shirt bundle the other day – my shelf might tip over!
