I found that I’ve become facinated by taking blah or old garments and making them into something completely new and different.

I bought the May issue of Sew News because of the prom dress makeover – I would have left it on the news stand if I would have glanced through it first (ICK, horrible, horrible). I haunt Craftster regularly – I’m so impressed with so many reconstructed garments (and just plain constructed, many without patterns!) that I’ve decided that I need to try out some for myself. So, I picked up Tease : Inspired T-shirt Transformations by Superstars of Art, Craft, and Design. It’s got a little bit of everything – crafts, purses, t-shirt reconstructions, the works. I can’t wait to dive into this book – but first, my jacket!
