I purchased a new pattern yesterday, Folkwear #239 – Blonde Bombshell. I’m so excited to get it. I’ve been eyeballing it for quite some time. I mean, who doesn’t want to look like Marilyn Monroe from The Seven Year Itch?
While strolling through the Anthropoligie website, I noticed that they have a very similar dress out now, the Sprinkler Dress. I don’t think that I have any desire to knock this one off – I’m not much of a fan of seersucker. No, this dress screams to be made in polka dots!

I am also trying to find a pattern for pleats just like Marilyn’s not for me but to make several for costume shops, anything that is almost exact will sell so they can rent them out. But finding one with all the details and pleated on top and bottom with the tie criss cross in the front is not easy to find. This one is close but does not have the criss cross in front I will have to ad that.
I would be interested is seeing the one you come up with.
